Uji, Chaganju Cafe, YAMASAN Series “Girls Travel Part 2” (Uji Shrine, Ujigami Shrine)
Hello everyone~ here’s come to part 2 of Uji’s Girl Travel.
Last time we went to Hashihime Shrine after having lunch in Chaganju Cafe.
So this time we are going to visit Uji Shrine.
On the way to the shrine, here is Uji Bridge…
There is a stone statue which is the writer of the Tale of Genji, Murasaki Shikibu.
Uji is the background place of the Tale of Genji and there is a Tale of Genji Museum here.
If you feel interest with this Japanese traditional tale, you should come and visit Uji.

The view from Uji Bridge is great and you will keep walking along the road of the picture below…
From Hashihime Shrine and walk about 10-15 minutes then we arrive at Uji Shrine.
Talking about the shrine in Uji, you may think of the UNESCO World Heritage in Kyoto “Ujigami Shrine”.
It is very famous in Uji but actually Uji Shrine and Ujigami Shrine was the same shrine in the past.
The son of Emperor Ojin is enshrined in Uji Shrine. And you can find Ujigami Shrine just upon Uji Shrine.
The son of Emperor Ojin also enshrined in Ujigami Shrine, and the Emperor Ojin and Emperor Nintoku are also been enshrined there.
The main shrine in Ujigami Shrine is the oldest in Japan.
When we just stand at the front there, we can feel the period in the past deeply and know that we are so small in this big world.
In Kyoto, you will always find lots of tourists in Kingankuji Temple, Ginkakuji Temple and Kiyomizudera Temple.
But you know there are lots of other important cultural assets or world heritage in Kyoto too.
Ujigami Shrine is one of the example.
In the same way, there are still many “good things” in this world.
The things could be food, tool or company, etc.
“Good food”, which means delicious and we can enjoy it safely as it gives support to our body everyday.
YAMASAN always keep provides best quality of products to our customers.
