I will introduce “Japanese Curry Udon Noodle” this time.
Do you know where is the birthplace of Curry Udon Noodle?
There is an Udon restaurant called “Sanchoan” near Waseda University where start making Udon noodle 100 years ago and this is also the birthplace of Japanese Pork Rice.
B-grade gourment since 100 years ago and still very popular even now.
I never thought that the combination of India Curry and Japanese Udon noodle could be so match. I wonder there are still many nice and delicious food combinations and I want to try those too.
So, let’s talk about the recipe of Japanese Udon Noodle below.
☆Ingredients (For 4 people)
- 150g Beef
- 2 Red Carrot
- 1 Onion
- 3 Potato
- 1000ml Japanese Gyokuro Soup Stock
- Green Onion As you like
※Put Deep-fried Tofu, more delicious。
① Cut off Red Carrot, Onion, Potato and Beef with the size you like.
※ If cut too small, it will easy to melt so it’s better cut in big size.
② Put red carrot and potato into microwave oven and heat for few minutes so it will be easier to cook after.
③ We need 1000ml soup stock this time and so we will use 2 packs of Japanese Soup Stock for preparing.
④ Stir-fry the beef with red carrot, potato, onions.
⑤ Put onions into the Japanese soup stock and boil it.
⑥ Then put the curry roux into soup stock and melt the curry roux. Boil the curry for about 10 minutes.
※It is better for melting down the curry roux by stopping the fire first.
⑦ Use hot water to cook Udon noodle then pour the curry on it, Curry Udon is DONE☆
Just only need Japanese soup stock and the curry roux where you can find in everywhere, then you can reappear the taste of Japanese Curry Udon Noodle!
